Mindfulness Classes at Herbert Art Gallery & Museum

Audience: Adults

Location: in The Studio and LS2 

Mindfulness is the practice of purposely bringing one’s attention to the present moment without judgement. It calms the mind, reduces stress and enhances mental clarity, helping to improve anxiety and depression.

Things to note:

Exercise Disclaimer

  • Exercise is undertaken at your own risk. Please ensure you are physically fit and well enough to participate before commencing any exercise or physical activity.
  • If you have any existing medical conditions, injuries, or concerns about your ability to exercise safely, please consult your GP or an appropriate healthcare professional before participating. If you experience any pain, discomfort, dizziness, or other concerning symptoms during exercise, stop immediately and seek appropriate medical advice.

 

  • Appropriate footwear must be worn to all classes.
  • Juniors are 12+ and must be accompanied by an adult.
  • It is the responsibility of the adult who is attending with a junior or a carer, who is only there assist, someone in care to ensure they are supervised when attending these sessions.
    In absolutely no circumstances should the adult, who is only there to assist, be partaking in any form of activity that is separate from the person in their care – i.e not allowed would be the adult swimming lengths in the pool whilst the person under there care is left alone in the pool by themselves.
