CV Life Rehabilitation Programmes

‘Patients who exercise regularly after Cancer treatment or Cardiac event have a better quality of life, lower risk of side effects, lower risk of cancer returning or further Cardiac event and generally survive longer.’(Thomas et al, 2014), (Lawler et al, 2011)

At CV Life we are pleased to be able to offer a number of exercise rehabilitation programmes.

All the programmes are on a referral basis and conducted by level Four qualified instructors.

Each programme is for twelve sessions, held at Centre AT7, Xcel Leisure Centre and The Alan Higgs centre.

The aim of the sessions is to give guidance on the types and intensities of appropriate exercise to build strength, stamina and  confidence. This will enable each participant to continue their own exercise programme beyond  the rehabilitation sessions.

Discounted session fees available. Not continual if a break is needed for treatment/ill health.

“Following breast cancer surgery I was advised to do some rehab classes. I thoroughly enjoyed the 12 weeks rehab run by Lisa at the Xcel Centre. Following on from these I joined the Bio Circuit also at the Xcel. Bio circuit takes all the faff out of gym so it is very quick to pop in and do a 15 to 30 mins session without the need to do any equipment set ups. I love doing a weekly body composition on their Tanita body analyser. It is nice to be able to do everything without the need for a personal trainer.”
